Pietersen might be included in squad for India tour

Talks began with team director Andy Flower to smoothen Pietersen's path back.

London: Kevin Pietersen arrived in London on Tuesday to meet his England teammates as a part of the reintegration process designed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), and if everything goes well then the controversial batsman might be included in their squad for their crucial India tour.

It is believed that the talks began with team director Andy Flower to smoothen Pietersen's path back following a summer of discontent, which led to him being dropped following his texts to South African players.


The meetings with Flower and senior players, including captain Alastair Cook, had been due to start on Monday but Pietersen's Sunday flight from South Africa, where he is playing in the Champions League with Delhi Daredevils, was cancelled.
According to the Daily Mail, if Pietersen utters all the right things to Flower then he could be added to the squad leaving for the Test tour of India next Thursday.
Graeme Swann, rumoured to be one of those who fell out with Pietersen, said: "You're not always going to be best mates with every player you play with, but the team always had a very good working dynamic. That broke down in the summer, but it's time to draw a line under it."
